Uninstalling Fillwell and your data

Uninstalling Fillwell immediately stops its work in your store. Your Fillwell configuration data is kept for about two days in case you come back, and then erased after that.

How to uninstall, and what happens

Uninstall Fillwell from the apps list in your Shopify admin.
Within about an hour, any job still running is stopped and the scheduled emails (the weekly digest and the store scan email) are canceled.
Your paid subscription is cancelled.

If you reinstall before the data is erased

Your settings (brand voice, notification email, weekly digest choice) and your job history are still there. Your paid plan is not. Open Account, then the Plan tab, pick a plan, and approve it on Shopify again. If you were on the free plan, the free AI credits you had left are still there. If you were on a paid plan, you come back on the free plan with no AI credits until you pick a plan.

When the data is erased

Shopify asks apps to erase a store's data about 48 hours after uninstall. If that request never arrives, Fillwell erases the data on its own once 72 hours have passed. Fillwell deletes:

your job history and the saved new and old values behind each job's report and undo
scan results, saved job settings, and schedules
your plan, usage counts, and the record of extra AI credits billed
your settings, including the notification email and brand voice
the store record itself

Your address is also removed from Fillwell's mailing lists, and the store is removed from product analytics.

One thing is kept: a marker made from a one-way scramble of your store address. It records that the store used its free credits, whether it ever subscribed, and the plan it left on. It holds no email and cannot be turned back into your store address.

If you reinstall after the data is erased

This is a fresh install. Settings and job history are gone, and old runs can no longer be undone. The free plan's 200 AI credits are given once per store, so they are not given again.

Good to know

Uninstalling does not undo anything. Every value Fillwell saved to your products stays in Shopify. Undo any runs you do not want first.
Metafield definitions Fillwell created in your store are not removed. Delete them in Shopify if you no longer want them.
Fillwell holds no data about your customers or orders, so there is none to erase.
Extra AI credits already billed stay on your Shopify bill.
If you only want to stop paying, you do not need to uninstall. Open Account, then Plan, and downgrade to the free plan. You keep your settings and history.
