When you run out of AI credits
What happens when your AI credits run out depends on your plan. On the free plan, AI fills stop when the 200 free credits are gone. On a paid plan nothing stops at zero: extra credits are billed at $0.02 each, and the only stop is the spending limit you approved. Either way, everything already saved is kept.
On the free plan
At zero, a banner reads Your free AI credits are used up with a Choose a plan button. In a queue, Fill & review locks, and AI credits available shows a link to see plans.
If you have AI drafts on a page and not enough credits to save them all, Save this page asks Save partial page? and shows Credits needed beside Available. Save partial page saves the products your credits cover, and the rest stay in the queue. Values you typed yourself are always saved. With no credits left, the dialog is headed Credits used up and offers See plans.
On a paid plan
Your plan's monthly credits are used first, then extra credits are billed until the amount billed this billing cycle reaches your spending limit. After that:
- In a queue: a banner reads You've reached your spending limit for extra AI credits with a Raise limit button, and Fill & review locks.
- Saving a page: if only part of the page fits under the limit, the confirmation says Additional credits would pass your spending limit. It saves the products that fit and leaves the rest in the queue.
- Before a bulk job: if the job cannot fit, the confirmation says This job would pass your spending limit and the Run button stays off. If the estimate is an upper bound, it says This job may pass your spending limit and lets you run.
- During a bulk job: the job stops when it reaches the limit. Its page reads Stopped at your spending limit for extra AI credits.
How to continue
- On a paid plan, open Account, Settings, Spending limit, pick a higher amount, click Save, and approve it on Shopify's page.
- On the free plan, open Account, Plan, choose a plan, and approve it on Shopify's page.
- Go back to the queue. Save the rows that were left, or run the bulk job again. Products already filled are skipped.
Good to know
- A stopped job cannot be resumed. You start a new run for the rest.
- When a bulk job stops part-way, Fillwell sends an email with the subject Your Fillwell job was stopped and a Review account button, to the Email address under Account, Settings. No email is sent if nothing was saved, or if you had the job's page open when it stopped.
- You may see A running job is using the rest of your spending limit. Nothing is wrong with your limit: a running job has reserved what is left. Fills resume when it finishes, or sooner if you raise the limit.
- The spending limit counts extra credits billed in the current billing cycle. Your monthly credits come back at your next renewal.
- Bulk jobs need a paid plan, so a free store never has a bulk job to stop.
