Plans and extra AI credits
Fillwell is billed as a monthly plan. Each paid plan includes AI credits every month, and when those are used up you keep working: every extra AI credit costs $0.02, up to a spending limit you approve. Plans and the limit are managed under Account.
Plans
Paid plans bill every 30 days. Starter is $20 a month with 1,000 AI credits and 1 job at a time, Growth is $50 with 2,500 credits and 3 jobs, and Scale is $150 with 7,500 credits and 5 jobs. Bulk jobs and custom jobs are included on every paid plan. The Plan tab shows each plan as a card, with a Current badge on yours. The Free plan is a card too: 200 AI credits, one time, 25 products at a time, with no bulk or custom jobs.
Extra AI credits
Past your plan's monthly credits, each extra AI credit is $0.02, billed to your Shopify account after each bulk job or page save. Each charge is its own Fillwell line on your next Shopify bill, naming what ran, the extra credits, the rate, and the total.
Before a bulk job runs, the confirmation screen shows a Billing block: Plan credits, Used, Available, This job, Additional credits at $0.02 each, and Additional charges, the total added to your bill. The Run button carries the same amount.
The spending limit
When you first subscribe, Shopify's approval page shows the usage terms and a spending limit of $100 per billing cycle. This is the most Fillwell can bill you for extra credits in a cycle. When it is reached, AI fills past your plan's credits pause until you raise it. To change it, open Account, Settings, Spending limit, pick a value ($100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000), and click Save. Shopify asks you to approve each change. You can lower the limit as well as raise it, but not below what has been billed this cycle plus what running jobs have reserved.
How to choose or change a plan
- Open Account and pick the Plan tab.
- Click the button on the plan's card. On the free plan it reads Choose and the plan name. On a paid plan it reads Upgrade or Downgrade.
- Approve the charge on Shopify's page, which shows the plan price, the extra-credit rate, and the spending limit. A downgrade to the free plan has no charge, so it skips this step.
- Back in Fillwell, an upgrade is marked Current right away. A downgrade shows as scheduled under the plan cards.
Changing plans
Upgrades take effect right away. Downgrades start at your next renewal. Shopify prorates an upgrade for the rest of the current cycle. A scheduled downgrade shows a note under the plan cards with a button to keep your current plan, which cancels it. Upgrading replaces any scheduled downgrade. Changing plans keeps the spending limit you already have.
Good to know
- Monthly credits do not carry over. They reset at the start of your next billing cycle, and the Usage tab shows the date.
- Nothing is billed on the free plan. When its 200 credits are gone, AI fills stop until you choose a plan. Downgrading from a paid plan does not bring the free credits back.
