Undoing a job
Every finished run has a report that lists each product with its new and old value. From that report you can undo one product, one page of products, or the whole run. Undo writes the old value back to Shopify and does not use AI credits.
How to undo
- Click Activity in the app menu, then click the run.
- Find the change with the tabs (All, Processed, Skipped, Failed) or the Search box. Each processed row shows the New value over the Old one.
- To undo one product, hover its row and click Undo.
- To undo more, use the button above the list: Undo this page for the rows in front of you, or Undo all for everything still undoable. When the report has more than one page, Undo all is in the menu beside Undo this page.
Each undone row gets a grey Undone badge, its new value is struck through, and a View undo run link appears on the row. The run itself reads Partially undone or Undone, in the report and in Recent activity.
What undo restores
Undo puts back the value that was captured before the run. If the field was empty before, undo clears it. Up to 25 changes are undone right away. A larger undo runs as its own job, named Undo: followed by the run's name, and you are taken to its progress page.
Going back to the page that made the run
Beside the tabs, a link with a back arrow reads "Back to" followed by a page name, for example "Back to Set Vendor". It opens the page where the run was started.
Good to know
- Undo does not check what the product holds now. If you or another app edited the field after the run, undo still writes the old value over that edit.
- Skipped and Failed rows have no Undo button, because nothing was written.
- An undo cannot be undone. The undo run's report is read-only, and each row has a View original run link back to the run it came from.
- If an undo fails, a red banner reads Unable to undo. If only some rows fail, it says how many were undone and how many were not. You can try the rest again.
- Runs and undo are kept for 30 days. After that the run leaves Recent activity, its report can no longer be opened, and its changes cannot be undone.
- The "Back to" link does not restore the filters you used.
