Brand voice

Brand voice is a short description of how your store sounds: tone, style, words to avoid, formatting habits. You write it once in your account settings. When it is selected as a source on a queue, Fillwell adds it to the instructions the AI follows. It is one setting for the whole store, not one per product.

How to set your brand voice

  1. Open Account and choose the Settings tab.
  2. Under Brand voice, type your description. The example in the box shows the idea: e.g. Warm and direct. Sustainability first, no hype words, sentence-case headings.
  3. Click Save in the bar that appears at the top. You see Settings saved.

How to use it on a queue

  1. Open a review queue and click Sources.
  2. Click + Add source. Brand voice is at the top of the list, under Store settings. Select it or clear it for this queue.
  3. Click Fill & review. The AI writes in your voice for the rows it fills.

Good to know

  • Brand voice starts selected on the product description and SEO queues. On every other queue it is off until you add it in Sources. A queue remembers the sources you last used.
  • Translation queues have no Sources menu, so brand voice is not used there. A translation stays faithful to the original text.
  • The AI uses brand voice for style and tone only. It is told not to take facts, offers or claims about your store from it. If you write "free shipping over $50" in your brand voice, that offer should not appear in a product description because of it.
  • When the setting is empty, nothing is added to the AI, even with Brand voice selected in Sources. Until you set one, Home shows a Set your brand voice card that opens the Settings tab.
  • Brand voice works beside AI guidance. Brand voice is the standing rule for your store. Guidance is what you want on this queue.
  • A new brand voice does not rewrite anything already saved. It affects only the values you fill afterwards.
  • Keep it to 2,000 characters or fewer. A longer description is not saved and you see Unable to save settings.
  • The same Save also saves your notification settings on that tab. Discard puts every field back.
